Hi, my name is Madison Teague and I study at Missouri State in Springfield, MO. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, my Masters in Project Management, and my Minor in Construction Management. As my favorite quote by Frank Lloyd Wright says, “Talent is good. Practice is better. Passion is best.” Art and design is my passion; I have loved everything about it since I was a little kid. The best thing about art is to be in control. Nothing is permanent. Every stroke, every splash of color, every single mark is a choice. You can always change it and perfect it. Whether I am drawing, developing prints in a dark room, or creating new spaces and designs, I am able to disconnect from the world and create my own.
Putting my talents towards my career with design helps me to combine what I love with my desire to help people. Design opens up those doors with endless possibilities such as designing schools, hospitals, houses, etc. An opportunity to make a place of safety and security for everybody. Design can be as personalized as you can imagine with the ability to be environmentally friendly, sustainable, and beneficial to the mental and physical well being of the people in the space, no matter where. Being a designer and an artist gives me a sense of purpose and a sense of tranquility. Art is my own serene escape.
